DAY 02 NOV 17 REYKJAVIK – GOLDEN CIRCLE – SELFOSS
Head south to Hveragerdi, the majestic gardening center of the island. Continue inland to visit the former archbishop’s residence at Skalholt, & Skalholt Church, followed by Geysir, the spectacular area of hot springs where hot sulphurous water shoots into the air. See STROKKUR hot springs – this erupts every 5 minutes or so, making it one of the most active Geyser. See the GULFOSS (the Golden Falls), the Icelandic equivalent of Niagara. Travel southwards to THINGVELLIR, where the first meeting of the Icelandic parliament was held in 903. This is a remarkable site because Thingvellir National Park, is a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE where the tectonic plates of Europe and North America meet. Majestic and thunderous, the force and beauty of these two tiered waterfalls will be something your camera wants to linger on before continuing to your hotel in Selfoss. DAY 03 NOV 18 EYJAFJALLAJOKULL – KIRKJUBAEJARKLAUSTUR
Check out after breakfast and embark on your South Iceland excursion. Visit the Eyjafjallajokull Center (entrance included) and learn about living next to a glacier and an active volcano. Visit Skogar Museum (entrance included) further on. Nearby is the Skogafoss Waterfall where you will have a photostop. Next take a stroll at the black sand beach of Reynisfjara. DAY 04 NOV 19 KIRKJUBAEJARKLAUSTUR – SKAFTATELL – VATNAJOKULL – KIRKJUBAEJARKLAUSTUR
Travel along the south coast of Iceland, driving beside black basalt-sand beaches. Highlight of today is National Park at Skaftatell. Proceed to Lake Jokulsarlon, literally called “glacial river lagoon” a large glacial lake in Southeast Iceland on the edge of Vatnajokull National Park. It recently became the deepest lake in Iceland at over 248 metres (814ft) and considered as one of the natural wonders of Iceland. This lake provided the dramatic scene in James Bond movie “Die Another Day”, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Batman Begins. In the evening, enjoy a film presentation about the Northern Lights as part of the Northern Lights Academy program. Get the chance to see the Northern Lights from your hotel for the night. DAY 05 NOV 20 KIRKJUBAEJARKLAUSTUR – SOUTH SHORE – SELJALANDSFOSS – GRINDAVIK – REYKJAVIK
After Breakfast, head to Eldhraun Lava field in the village of Vik where you will make a photostop. The black lava beach with high bird cliffs and pounding waves is very impressive. Pass by the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and have a photostop at this majestic natural beauty. In the afternoon, visit the BLUE LAGOON (entrance included) – the most visited geothermal spa in Iceland. The spa is located in a lava field. The land is natural, as is the lava that shapes the pool,but the water is actually the result of runoff from the geothermal plant next door. The plant was built to use Icelandic landscape to produce heat power. The runoff is filtered straight into the Blue Lagoon, which is what heats the water. It is not dangerous or toxic. Return to Reykjavik afterwards. In the evening after dinner, go on a hunt for the Northern Lights with your photographer guide (Aurora subject to weather conditions).

At Frogner Park, view the controversi al Vigeland Park – The Vigeland Park is the world’s largest sculpture park made by a single artist, and is one of Norway’s most popular tourist attractions and visit the Viking Long Ship Museum (entrance included).

Check out from your hotel. You are going to experience an immediate full immersion into the fairy tale of Lapland. At first you will visit a husky farm and learn about it. You will get instructions regarding this animal and how to drive it (2km sled ride with 3-4 persons in a sled with a driver) The next stop is Santa Claus’ Village (entrance included) at the Arctic Circle. You are going to process to the official Arctic Crircle Crossing ceremony and receive a certificate attesting this event as well as an A4 sized photo with Santa. Lunch at a local restaurant.
